You're invited to our Fifth Birthday!
Saturday 4th October: St Mary's Putney, 10.30 - 2.30pm - 5th Anniversary Celebration of the work of Inclusive Church
Five years is a big milestone for us. We've planned this fifth anniversary as an working event. We'll have a Festival Eucharist at 10.30. Jenny Thomas, the Chair of the Association of Black Clergy, will be celebrating, and Giles Goddard will preach. At 11.30 Giles and Clare lead a plenary: "Life after Lambeth" - where we will feed back on our impressions of the conference and ask you for your thoughts and hopes for our work from now on. Lunch will now be provided by the cafe at St Mary's (instead of a bring and share as previously advised). The day will be a chance for you to meet old friends and make new ones... Please come, so that we can receive your ideas and build on all that we've achieved to date. Oh, and we'll also be launching our fundraising drive for 2009 - 2012 - "IC Tomorrow". CHILDREN ARE VERY WELCOME - activities will be arranged. Cost for the day is £10 for adults, £5 for concessions/children. Do come as your input will be very valuable. PLEASE "Contact us" to let us know if you are intending to come for catering numbers.
"Women Included?" - our next event
"Women included?" - our next event will be on Wednesday 24th September from 6.30 - 9pm. All are welcome - men and women. It's both an introduction to Inclusive Church and a chance to think more about how we can make sure that women are fully included in the life of the church. Speakers - Rosemary Lain-Priestly, Dean of Women's Ministry, Diocese of London. Christina Rees, Chair, WATCH (Women and the Church). Giles Goddard, Chair, Inclusive Church. Clare Herbert, National Coordinator, InclusiveChurch. For further details and to register contact us

Welcome to Inclusive Church
We are a network of individuals and organisations whose make-up reflects the breadth and scope of the Church of England and beyond.
We come from differing traditions and differing locations but we are united in one aim: to celebrate and maintain the traditional inclusivity and diversity of the Anglican Communion. We are committed to ensuring that those who are excluded because of their poverty, different abilities, ethnic origin or any other reason can play their full part in the Gospel of Jesus Christ's unconditional love.
As Archbishop Tutu said - "Christ, when he was lifted up, did not say 'I draw some people to myself.' He said 'I draw all, all, ALL!'
We are very concerned that the Church of England is seen by many as withdrawing from its historic commitment to serve the whole community, and becoming more like a membership "club" which accepts people only on its own terms.
We are working to break down the barriers to full inclusion at all levels of the Anglican Communion. This means that it is essential that women can be bishops and that lesbian and gay people - both in relationships and single can be ministers. As part of full inclusion, we believe the Church should be offering services of thanksgiving and blessing to those entering Civil Partnerships.

This is a new website - we hope you find it interesting and helpful. We would welcome your feedback, comments and suggestions for inclusion. We are no longer displaying the Petition as it's now four years old. If you wish your church to be listed please click on "churches" above.
